Dr. Dean Wright
Dr. Dean Wright graduated from the University of Missouri/Kansas City Dental School with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1976. He has been practicing dentistry in the Wichita area for over 41 years.
Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, he graduated from Wichita Southeast High School and Wichita State university with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Dr. Wright has been married to his high school sweetheart, Nancy, for 46 years. and they have one son, Matt, who is an attorney for Koch Industries. Besides enjoying time with his family, Dr. Wright loves playing golf and physical activities. He has a black belt in taekwondo and is an instrument rated pilot.
Dr. Wright has advanced training throughout the world, including Houston, Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas, and South America. For the past three years, he has trained at the University of Cartagena School of Dentistry in Colombia for advanced graduate implant studies. He personally has placed over 20,000 implants during his career, and Cambridge Family Dentistry has placed more mini dental implants than any other clinic in North America. He enjoys meeting new and current patients and taking care of their dental health.
Dr. Neda Vessali
Dr. Vessali obtained her DDS from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2001 and has worked at Cambridge Family Dentistry ever since. Prior to dental school, she completed a Bachelor of Science in biology and minor in chemistry at WSU. She has completed advanced training in the field of implant dentistry and even studied abroad at the University of Cartagena in Colombia. Her greatest interests are dental implants and cosmetic dentistry, and she loves to challenge herself and care for her patients as if they were her own family members. She considers herself very blessed to have advanced knowledge in implant dentistry and to be able to devise unique treatment plans for each patient.
When not at work, Dr. Vessali enjoys yoga, baking, interior decorating, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Christopher Polk
Dr. Christopher Polk completed his dental degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1994 after earning a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology from Pittsburg State University. He strives to complete at least 30 hours of continuing education courses each year to remain current on dental care. Most of his CE courses focus on orthodontics and CAD/CAM dentistry. He has been part of Cambridge Family Dentistry for over 4 years, providing quality work and ensuring our patients are comfortable at our office.
Dr. Polk has 2 daughters and a son, and enjoys playing golf with his fiancée, directing his church choir, and taking advantage of his pilot license and Sports Car Club of America racing license.
Dr. Alan Herman
Dr. Alan Herrman attended Baylor College of Dentistry, graduating in 2007, after having played baseball for the University of Texas at Arlington. He attends CE courses yearly, including studying implantology from Bicon in Boston, MA. He strives to do the best he can for each patient and help them feel comfortable, and has been doing so for over 4 years at Cambridge Family Dentistry.
Dr. Herrman and his wife of 11 years, Sheri, have two boys, Cooper (8) and Brody (6). His hobbies include working out, golfing, coaching kids’ sports, and hunting.
Dr. Kelly Johnson
Dr. Kelly Johnson attended Wichita State University for her undergraduate before earning her dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2012. She is active in furthering her patients’ care with continuing education courses in a variety of subjects, from cosmetic to dental implants. Dr. Johnson is a member of the ADA, KDA, and Wichita District Dental Society. She helps patients create and maintain beautiful, healthy teeth by addressing their dental phobias and ensuring they have a good experience and receive the treatment they need. To Dr. Johnson, there is nothing better than giving a patient the confidence to smile again, and she feels so blessed to work in a wonderful office that does this every day.
Dr. Johnson and her husband, Nathan, have a beautiful baby boy named Samuel. She spends most of her time with her family, and they love working on renovations around their home.
Dr. Grant Laham
Dr. Laham is a Wichita native and has spent most of his life living here. He graduated summa cum laude from Newman University, earning a degree in biology. He then completed his dental training at the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona. While there he received the Dean’s Clinician’s award for being at the top of the class in clinical skills and accomplishments. Dr. Laham’s chief areas of study include implant dentistry, in which he has received advanced training along with sedation dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry and endodontics. He enjoys taking continuing education courses and learning advanced techniques and procedures.
It is Dr. Laham’s goal to provide high-quality dental care in an ethical, caring manner, and to treat every patient as he would a family member. He greatly enjoys establishing quality, lasting friendships with patients, and helping them maintain stunning smiles with customized treatment plans. Dr. Laham has done two trips to the Kingdom of Tonga to serve the local community and provide free dental services for patients with limited access to dental care.
