How to Go Above and Beyond in Your Oral Hygiene Routine
Are you an overachiever? If so, our dentist, Dr. Dean Wright, encourages you to over achieve when it comes to your smile. As you may already know, it’s best to keep up on oral hygiene regularly by brushing twice a day and flossing daily. To go above and beyond in your oral hygiene routine, our dentist encourages you to do the following things:
-Rinse with mouthwash daily: Rinsing with antibacterial or fluoride mouthwash can help your teeth and gums in many ways. In fact, it can help you prevent cavities, enamel erosion, and gum disease. It can even kill the bacteria on your tongue to give you good breath. So, try to rinse with mouthwash once a day.
-Brush your teeth after lunch: Rather than just brushing in the morning and at night, try brushing after lunch also! Brushing at work, school, or home can help you have a cleaner and healthier smile. It can also help you avoid having embarrassing food-filled smile moments when you socialize.
-Use a tongue scraper: A tongue scraper is a handy tool that removes the dental problem-causing and bad breath-causing bacteria from your tongue.
