Dr. Herrman began his schooling preparing to become a physical therapist. When his guidance counselor asked if he’d ever considered medicine or dentistry, he investigated his options and ultimately changed direction. Dr. Herrman never looked back as he enjoys all aspects of his dental career from problem solving to, the personal interaction with his patients. He believes every case is unique and every person is an individual, making it important to personalize care. It is so rewarding, he says, to be able to change the perception many people have about “going to the dentist.”
Dr. Herrman’s wife, Sherri, was a Dallas police officer for five years and helped put him through dental school. They met in college at the University of Texas-Arlington, and the rest, as they say, is history. His hobbies include lifting weights and playing golf with his family; his wife and his parents play as well. Dr. Herrman loves to hunt, and bought his lifetime hunting/fishing license when he was only 16. He’s also renowned for his grilled pheasant and dove.
Besides work, golfing, and hunting, Dr. Herrman always looks forward to spending time with family, especially his two young sons, Cooper and Brody. While Dr. Herrman’s roots are in Dodge City, he loves the feel of the Wichita area. Dr. Herrman says Wichita has a ton to offer, and it’s a wonderful place to raise a family. One of the family’s favorite hangouts is the Sedgwick County Zoo.
Dr Herrman advises: “Enjoy every day like it could be your last, and be thankful for every day you get to spend with your loved ones.”
