Meet the Doctors
Dr. M. Dean Wright
Born and raised in Wichita, Dr. Wright graduated from Southeast High School in 1968, Wichita State University in 1972 and the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1976. Dr. Wright has practiced general dentistry for 36 years and founded Cambridge Family Dentistry and built the new office in 2001. Dr. Wright is one of the nation’s most experienced dentists in the area of mini dental implants, having placed over 13,000 implants of all types. He enjoys flying, golf, tennis and time with his wife Nancy, to whom he has been married for more than 41 years. Dr. Wright and Nancy enjoy spending time with their son, Matthew, an attorney with Koch Industries Inc.
Dr. Neda Vessali
Dr. Vessali grew up in Wichita and graduated from East High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Wichita State University and is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Vessali has practiced at Cambridge Family dentistry since 2001. She enjoys baking, photography, interior decorating, and entertaining guests in her home. She loves to spend time with her husband and two beautiful children.
Dr. Christopher Polk
Dr. Christopher Polk is originally from Pratt, Kansas and a graduate of Pratt High School. He attended Pittsburg State University on a vocal music scholarship, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. Dr Polk earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1994. He practiced for 14 years in Trinidad, Colorado, with an emphasis on cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics.
Dr. Alan Herrman
Dr. Herrman was born and raised in Dodge City, Kansas. He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1999, The University of Texas–Arlington in 2003, and Baylor College of Dentistry in 2007. He practiced in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for six years before returning to Kansas to Cambridge Family Dentistry in 2013. Dr. Herrman is a member of the ITI Implant Study Club, American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, and the Wichita District Dental Society.
Dr. Kelly Johnson
Dr. Kelly A. Johnson joined Cambridge Family Dentistry in 2014. She grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with four siblings and later moved to Oklahoma, earning her high school diploma in Edmond. Kelly attended college and graduated from Wichita State University and attended Dental School at University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC). She is a recent newlywed, has two dogs and outside of work she says she loves meeting new people. When asked what she likes best about her job, Kelly states, “It is very rewarding to help people who are in pain and to restore people’s smiles.”
Her best advice to patients is not to let fear or bad experiences keep them from having dental work. “At Cambridge Family Dentistry, we work closely with each patient to create a scenario and treatment plan that makes them comfortable and eases their fears.”
