Meet Dr. Wright

Dr Wright the best Wichita dentistDr. Wright isn’t your average Wichita dentist. Well, unless you think a dentist with a black belt in Taekwondo is “average”.

Dr. Dean Wright was born and raised in Wichita, attending Southeast High School and Wichita State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology and mathematics. He met his wife, Nancy, in the third grade while attending Griffith Elementary School. They began dating in high school and married during their senior year of college while attending Wichita State University. Nancy taught high school at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School while Dr. Wright attended the University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City, where he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Wright went back to Kansas to set up his dental practice.

Dr. Wright and his wife, Nancy, have one son, Matthew, who attended Wichita Collegiate. He excelled in tennis and became a national tennis champion at the age of 12. By the time he graduated from Collegiate High School, Matthew took over the national high school record with 115 wins and 0 losses. He went on to become an All-American tennis player at the University of Michigan and a professional tennis player. He is now a successful attorney for Koch Industries and nationally ranked in pickleball.

Dr. Wright is very passionate about personal morals and family values, which is part of the reason he loves Wichita and Kansas. He sees Wichita as a city with good core values and an excellent work ethic. These are two traits that friends and colleagues of Dr. Wright would say he also possesses.

Hard work and continuous learning are two beliefs that Dr. Wright practices daily. He does not believe in the “profit-only-matters” mentality that has led to corporate-owned dental clinics operated by non-dentists. He believes the patient always comes first, one of the reasons a lot of his patients consider him the best Wichita dentist. He also believes in the importance and value of dentistry for everyone, and that is why he still has a passion for what he does after more than 40 years.

If you are looking for a quality Wichita dentist with exceptional character, look no further than Dr. Wright. During office hours, you will find him working hard to provide the best possible care for all of his patients. After hours, you can leave a message at the office, and he will be happy to respond.

To summarize, Dr. Wright believes that building a successful practice means working hard, treating people with kindness and respect, and always giving your best effort to every patient.
